William H. “Buddy” Roach, of Kodak, Tennessee, was born July 31, 1946, and passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2026, surrounded by his family after a short battle with leukemia.Buddy spent most of his life working at Roden Electric in Pigeon Forge alongside his father and brother. He began as a sales clerk and, through years of dedication, became a sales manager. Outside of work, he could often be found in his hobby shop, spending evenings and weekends painting cars and trucks for friends. After retirement, he worked for a time at Smoky Mountain Knife Works, simply for the enjoyment of staying active and connected.Buddy will be remembered for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and his one-of-a-kind turns of phrase that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a member of a non-denominational Christian church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Laura Roach; his sister, Peggy Dile, and his brother, Allan Roach, all of Kodak.Buddy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deborah Roach (Denton); his children, Kaydele Shropshire (Don), Bradley Roach (Tanya), and Kylene Russell (Brandon); and his eight grandchildren, Sherice Phillips, Jeffrey Maples, Maci Brunson, Spencer Roach, Vincent Roach, Kellar Tarwater, Maggie Maples, and Trinity Parker. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Luke, River, and Allison, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Farrar Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m.
