William Carter "Bill" Brabson

William Carter "Bill" Brabson 81 of Gulf Breeze, FL went on to meet his Savior Jesus Christ on April 2, 2026.

Bill was originally from Grainger County, TN; but had a love for Florida and moved there after his wife Joan passed away. After moving to Florida, he reunited with a long-time friend, Carol, and they were married shortly after.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Parrot and Vonnie Roach Brabson; adopted parents, Charles and Ellen Roach Bailey; sisters, Doris Moore & Nancy Gibson;l and brother, Bob Bailey; wife, Joan Brabson; and grandson, Westley Brandon Mills. He is survived by his wife, Carol Brabson; sister, Jo "Jo Blow" Morie; children, Shannon (David) Lambert, Clifford (Val) Brabson, Susan Dalton, Amanda Vargas, and Charlie Brabson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bill was many things in his lifetime, from a Disc Jockey whose sharp wit and ability to crack jokes at any opportune moment served him well, to an Over the Road Truck driver that loved the highway. He was a Staunch Patriot that loved his Country. His most loved accomplishment was being a minister for Jesus Christ whom he very much loved. He was a loving Husband, Father, Friend, and Follower of Christ.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Helton Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Rutledge, TN. In lieu of flowers please send donations to First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze.
