William Lewis Belcher

William Lewis Belcher, 78, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Korea. He retired as a metallurgist from TRW Automotive. After retirement, he worked part time at Oak Hill Apartments as maintenance supervisor. William was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Alberta Belcher; siblings, Catheryn, Marshal, Ellis, Cozette Bowen, Edward, Delano, JB, Homer, Glenn, and twin sister, Janice Isaac. His survivors include his wife of 54 years, Alethia Watkins Belcher; children, Krista Raper (William Derwin) and Elizabeth Morgan; grandchildren, Devon Morgan, Ethan Bloomer, Hunter Stapleton (Gabriel), Connor Bunch, Cannon Bunch and great-grandchild Henry Stapleton. He also is survived by his brother, Ralph Belcher and brother-in-law, Eulis Isaac.. A memorial service will be announced at a later time. Arrangements are being handled by Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.
