Wayne Thomas Jones

Wayne Thomas Jones, age 84, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on May 09, 2026. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 68 years and a long-time member of the Jefferson City Volunteer Fire Dept. and retired from Blanc and West Lumber Company with 45 years of service. W.T. loved baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Jones; daughter, Tammy Gilbert; son, Tim Jones; parents, Joe and Mary Helen Jones; and brother, Louis Jones.

Wayne is survived by his son, Chris (Stephanie) Jones; daughter-in-law, Joan Jones; grandchildren, Charles (Kelli) Gilbert, Chasity (Travis) Kiestler, Brad (Heather) Jones, Ashley Jones, Sophia Jones and Alexis Jones; great-grandchildren, Logan (Megan) Flynn, Briana Redding, Jordan (Kalista) Gilbert, Hailee Gilbert, Kendall Doll, Elijah Doll, Brody Carr, Lilly Spence, Aria Jones, Bryce Kiestler and Baylor Jones; great-great-grandchild, Kinsley Flynn; brother, Larry Jones; and 4-legged buddy, Ellie Sue.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or the Jefferson City Volunteer Fire Department. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 2:00p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with CH Qualls officiating.
