Wanda T. Kinkead

Wanda T. Kinkead, age 85 of Rutledge, TN, passed away at 2:38 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022 at The Waters of Sweetwater Rehab and Nursing Center, following a brief illness.  She was a long-time member of Oakland Baptist Church and retired from Flowers Bakery.  She was very active in the Parrott-Wood Memorial Library in Strawberry Plains.  Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Burley W. Kinkead, parents, Dave and Mae Tate, sisters, Kathleen Farrar, Naomi (Goldie) Clevenger, Margaret Turley, and Sarah Horner, and brother, David (Popeye) Tate.  She is survived by her children, Steve (Charlotte) Kinkead, Richard (Debbie) Kinkead, both of Sweetwater, TN, and Mark (Laverne) Kinkead of Lenoir City, TN, grandchildren, Elijah Kinkead and April Snow, great grandchildren, Jacob Kinkead and Emily Snow, and sister, Doris (Lawrence) Watson of Rutledge, and several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Lawson officiating.  Family will receive friends from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home.
