Virginia "Ginnie" Dorothy Sorensen

Virginia “Ginnie” Dorothy Sorensen, age 91 of Jefferson City, TN, formerly a native of Detroit, Michigan, joined her heavenly family on April 2, 2024.  She loved to spend her time reading, coloring, and crocheting.  She was a very active member and sang in the choir at her home church, Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livonia, MI.  She was a big fan of her home sport teams, especially the Red Wings, Tigers, and Pistons.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Helen Moran, and sister, Dolores “Moran” Archer.  She is survived by her husband, Norman L. Sorensen, son, Norman D. (Suzanne) Sorensen, daughter, Christine (Geoffrey) Rolik, grandchildren, Darci (Jason) Shaw, Mandi (Joshua) Walters, Amanda (Joseph) Fitterer, and Scott (Jordan) Rolik, six great grandchildren, Zac, Henry, Ethan, Myla, Joseph, and Peyton, sister-in-law, Linda (John) Stone, nephew, Paul (Caryn) Archer, and several other family members. Family and friends are welcome to gather 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m for light refreshments and food Sunday, April 21, 2024 for a celebration of life at the Shepard's Inn.
