Virgil Ray Jones

Virgil Ray Jones, age 88 of Talbott, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at his home. He was a faithful member of Jefferson City Assembly of God. He loved to spend time outside and enjoyed mowing his yard. He was retired from the Jefferson City Water Department.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Juanita Jones; parents, Hal C. and Leora Jones; grandson, Colby Lynn Jones; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his sons, Richard (Rhonda) Jones, and Jeff (Vicki) Jones; grandchildren, Tyson (Jessica) Jones, Tyler (Sam) Jones, Cory (Victoria) Jones, Corey Seal, and Caleb (Chelsea) Seal; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Caris Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with the service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Cory Jones officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Tyson Jones officiating.
