In Loving Memory of Violet Mae Bailey May 30, 1947 – June 28, 2026. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Violet Mae Bailey, who peacefully departed this life at home after six months with hospice on June 28, 2026, at the age of 79. Violet was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, proud great-grandmother, caring sister, and faithful friend. She dedicated her life to caring for others, after spending many decades at Hillbilly Cabin and always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. Her strength, compassion, and selfless heart touched countless lives and will never be forgotten. One of Violet’s greatest acts of love was her lifelong devotion to caring for her beloved sister, Connie Bailey. She gave endlessly of herself, providing unwavering love, support, and companionship. Her nurturing spirit defined who she was, and her kindness was felt by everyone blessed to know her. She leaves behind her loving children, Ronald Bailey (Lisa) and Tony Bailey (Beverly). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Charlie Weissmuller, Meggan Stepp (Josh), Brittany Chandler, Jamison Bailey (Whitney), Mindy Wilson, Steven Bailey, Brittany Bailey, and Brandi Bailey. She was also blessed with 27 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life and whom she loved beyond measure she also leaves behind a dear friend and ex-husband, Avery Newberry. Violet was preceded in death by her daddy, William Bailey; her mother, Hester McLemore; both of Benton Harbor, MI and sisters and brothers, Nellie, Fay, Judy, Lloyd, Bonnie and Connie are those loved ones who welcomed her into eternal peace. She also leaves behind the memory of her faithful companion, Peaches, whose unconditional love brought her comfort and happiness. Ron wants to publicly acknowledge his wife Lisa for her unwavering dedication , love and care for his mother during the last year and half since her sister Connie's passing. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Violet’s legacy of love, compassion, and sacrifice will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply. Her gentle smile, warm embrace, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. The family asks that Violet be remembered not for the way her life ended, but for the incredible way she lived—with grace, strength, generosity, and a heart that never stopped loving. “A life filled with love leaves a legacy that time can never erase.” Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.

A special Thank You to UT Hospice for their love and attention during this difficult time.
