Velder Pearl (Cuberson) Humphrey

Velder Humphrey, age 99, was born May 10, 1926, to James and Virginia Cuberson. She passed away March 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, grace, and cherished memories. She lived a long and meaningful life, marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She is proceeded in death by husband, Jasper Humphrey, Sr; children, James Sr., Jasper Jr., Virginia Humphrey, Joyce Miller, Glenn Humphrey and Grace Ann; brothers, Alex (Estella) Cuberson, Herman (Janie) Cuberson, and James (Ethel) Allen.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ralph (Pamela) Humphrey and Michael (Melanie) Humphrey; daughter, Priscilla Humphrey, daughter-in-law: Sylvia Humphrey and son-in-law, Lefty Miller; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, special family and friends, including Jewel Matthews, Kathleen Brown, JC Anderson and Louis Smith.

She will be remembered not only for the years she lived, but for the lives she touched. Velder’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her, a lasting reminder of a life truly well lived. She will lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed.

Rev. Donna Branner will officiate the Homegoing Ceremony, which will take place at 12:30PM, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM to 12:30PM, prior to the service.
