Troy McRay Bell of White Pine, TN passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 90. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown. Troy grew up with his six brothers and sisters in White Pine, TN. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served his country for 20 years. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Troy moved back to his hometown of White Pine where he resided for the remainder of his life. He soon started his second career as a guard at American Enka. He enjoyed his work there and made many friends along the way. This is where he also met his late wife, Evelyn, who quickly became the love of his life. Troy was a dedicated employee and was actually one of the last people to retire before the company finally closed its doors. In his free time, Troy loved playing golf and even worked until recently as a grounds keeper at The Country Club in Morristown. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and taking golf trips with his golfing friends. Troy had many accomplishments in his life, but he was most proud of his son, Lantie. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Troy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Bell, his parents, Lantie and Edith Bell; brothers, Eugene, Lloyd, and Theodore Bell; sisters, Bonnie Lou Moore, Joann Jenkins, and Avery Sue Brooks. He is survived by his son Lantie (Yvonne) Bell; niece, Carla (Tony) Bradley; nephews, Chris (Mary) Bell and Jim Bell; great nephew Matt (Macy) Bradley, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members, and very special friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4-6 PM at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine. There will be a funeral service following at 6 PM with pastor, Steve Smith, officiating. There will be a military graveside service on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 11 AM at White Pine Cemetery. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff of Morristown Hamblen Hospital and Jefferson Park at White Pine for the excellent care they provided Troy in his final days.

Farrar Funeral Home of White Pine is honored to serve the Bell family.
