Thomas Leonard (“Moe”) Holt met his eternal reward May 30, 2026.

He was born August 25, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was an incredible musician and a tremendous tenor.

Thomas was saved as a young man of the age 10 at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Bybee, TN. At 12 years old he was called to preach and spent his life dedicated to serving the Lord and spreading the good news as God commanded. His ministry brought him to Bickmore, WV to preach a revival and there met the love of his life, Judy Karen Lane. They were married 48 years.

Thomas served as pastor for churches in several counties (Jefferson, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, and Sevier) and preached numerous revivals in Tennessee, North Carolina, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Thomas is survived by his loving and faithful wife Judy Holt, children, Jason (Julie) Holt, James (Kaila) Holt, Isaac (Sydney) Holt, Grandchildren, Aiden, Dawson, and Sawyer Holt, mother, Margaret Holt, siblings, Donald (Carolyn) Holt, Debbie Holt, Janie Holt Valentine, Robert (April) Holt, Clinton (Pat) Holt, Wayne (Meg) Holt, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, special cousin Lorene Buckner, and many other wonderful cousins.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Willard Holt, brothers Gary Holt and Ronnie Holt.

The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers memorial Donations be made to Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine, 1806 Main St, White Pine, TN 37890 to help with funeral expenses.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church in White Pine, with the Rev. Don Holt and Rev. Robert Holt officiating. Family will receive friends between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm at the church prior to the service
