Thomas Edward "Tommy" Hill, of Dandridge passed away peacefully on his 77th birthday, Tuesday November 3, 2026 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center with his daughter by his side. Though our hearts ache from the separation, we take comfort in knowing he is restored, whole, and celebrating the best birthday ever in the presence of God.
A lifelong resident of Dandridge, Tommy owned and operated Hill's Excavating until a medical setback in 2014. He enjoyed lake life, NASCAR, and WWE. He lived life large, and was always the life of any party. He was a social butterfly, a jokester, and a friend to all. He took pride in being a "Papaw". His humor and heart of gold will be sorely missed.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac "Pud" Hill, Jr. and Addie Hance Hill; sister, Jean Hill Lane; and an infant sister, Linda Sue Hill; as well as brothers-in-law, Clinton Francis and Norman Lane. He is survived by his loving daughter, Heather Cooper-Payne & husband, David; granddaughter, Katlyn "Kat" Cooper; grandson, Blake Bible; bonus grandson, Brandt Payne; and his "grandpup", Bentley; sister, Lynn Francis; nieces, Lisa & Lora Francis; several special cousins; special friend, Marie Ray; and devoted life companion and former wife, Judy Hill, who stood by his side with unwavering care and loyalty.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to nurse Megan Hiles, as well as the entire team at Jefferson Park in Dandridge. Their compassionate care for "Tommy Toes" was above and beyond.
The family will receive friends from 4PM to 6PM Friday, November 6, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Pastor Troy Duncan will officiate the funeral service, which will take place immediately thereafter. A graveside committal service will take place at 11AM Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Hills Union Cemetery.
Farrar Funeral Home of Dandridge is honored to serve the Hill family.
