T. Michael Cheaves

T. MICHAEL CHEAVES, age 66, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home. Preceded in death by parents, Zuna Lee and Jane Anna Cheaves; sister, Nancy Diane Morton. He was a retired detective from Knox County Sheriffs Department. He was a Colonel in the Division Cavalry Brigade and Commanding Officer of the First Tennessee Cavalry. Survived by children, John-Michael David Cheaves and Sarah Elizabeth Cheaves; brother, William Scott Klein; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Cheaves Family Cemetery with Rev. Duane Hamby and Al Hallonquist officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Farrar Funeral Home and 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday at his home prior to the service.
