Stuart 'Lucky" Houpt

Stuart “Lucky” Houpt, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Stuart was born on August 15, 1942 in Chester, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School in 1961, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Stuart retired from Shelby Williams after 35 years of service. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 55 years, Patsy Garrett Houpt, and father to his sons, Hobie and Allan. Stuart was a proud Grandfather and Great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Renneker; father, Lou Houpt; and sister, Sandra Collins. Stuart is survived by his wife, Patsy Garrett Houpt; sons, Hobie Houpt (Susan) and Allan Houpt; granddaughters, Courtney Houpt-Panter (Mitchell), Alysha Houpt Allen (Justin), and Casey Houpt Murray (Micah); great grandchildren, Bryson Allen and Cooper Allen; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene and Jean Garrett; sister-in-law, Linda Garrett Swann, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Snowden officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
