Steven Lloyd Newman

Steven Lloyd Newman, age 55 of Dandridge, passed away November 2, 2026 at UT Medical Center.

He will be remembered as reliable and fun-loving. He loved fishing, playing Pokemon, remote control rock-crawling, and spending time with his grandkids... but held an interest in many other sports and activities as well. His favorite holiday was Halloween. He worked for Crucible (formerly Nyrstar) mining for more than 18 years. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Lear Siegler in Morristown.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Joe Newman; mother, Sherry Newman; and sister, Tammy Newman. He is survived by his children, Tyler (Amber) Newman, Mason (Asya) Newman; and Dalana Newman; grandchildren, Navie Newman, Maislee Newman, Raelynn Newman, Baylore Newman, & Noah Newman; brothers, Bobby (Tonya) Newman, Dale (Julie) Newman; nieces & nephews, Alesha Newman, Mashaya Newman, Carson Newman, Hannah Newman, and Haley Newman; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, coworkers, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Details of that service will be updated once finalized.
