Sonja Griffin Cole, age 76 of White Pine, passed away at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was a Hairdresser in Jefferson Co for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Briscoe Cole Sr. son Jason Cole, grandson James Briscoe Cole III, parents, Homer and Dorothy Griffin, siblings, Roy Griffin and Ella Carpenter. She is survived by her son, James Cole, grandchildren, Roy Cole and Laura Beth Cole, 6 great grandchildren, sister, Wanda Sue Henderson, sisters-in-law, Joyce (Ronald) Hubbard and Willie Mae Amos, brother-in-law, Alfred (Ophene) Cole also several nieces, nephews and other family members. Sonja will Lie In State between the hours of 2:00pm and 5:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7, 2021. A Graveside Interment service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, 11:00am in Dandridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Brian Osborne officiating.
