SELMA ELIZABETH WALKER YOUNG, age 73, of Dandridge, TN passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 20, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was retired from Jefferson County Health Department after 28 years of service, and was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by son, Brian Young; brother, Edward Walker. She is survived by her husband, Carrol Young; children, Karen (Jeff) Whittaker, Anthony Cameron, Brett (Terri) Young, Teila (Brent) Walker; grandchildren, Ashton (Jeremy) Presnell, Zoey Cameron, Teryn (Jordan) Schartz, Kylie Young, Brandon (Hilary) Young, Shara Cote, Chelsey (Jason) Hensley, Savanna (Brian) Dyer, Jeremy Young, and Sarah Walker; great-grandchildren, Clay Presnell, Mollie Hensley; Easton Dyer, Landreigh Jo Schartz, and Liam Young; brothers, Gordon (Billie) Walker, Dale (Sherrie) Walker; sister-in-law, Ella Mae Walker; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Shipley officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 12:00 noon Wednesday at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Hillcrest Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Oakland UMC Food Pantry, 158 W. Dumplin Valley, Road, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
