Sanford Eugene Jinks

Sanford Eugene “Gene” Jinks, 77, of Dandridge, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 8th, 2022.

He was born in Kingsport, TN, on October 7th, 1945. He was married to Norma Jinks since June 13, 1963.

He worked for many years in the construction industry and was known for his hard work and dedication. More importantly, he was committed to his family and his faith. His love for his family and service to God leave behind a tremendous legacy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sanford Henry Jinks and Hazel Marie Carter Jinks, and his two brothers, Clifford Lewis Jinks and Herman Kyle Jinks.

He was survived by his loving wife Norma, his children Jeff (Robin) Jinks and Lisa (Chris) Smith; his grandchildren Michael (April) Jinks,  Sarah (Tyler) Miller, Cody (Deanna) Smith, Sean Smith, and Kristie Potter; and his great grandchildren Mikayla Jinks, Jaxson Jinks, Emelyn Miller, Payton Miller, Nolan Ferguson, Lilly Smith, and Charlotte Smith, and many nieces and nephews, and special friends.

Receiving of friends will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, January 10, at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN. Funeral service will follow at 7pm. Military graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 11, at Hamblen Memorial Gardens in Morristown, TN.
