Sandra Bowman Purkey

SANDRA BOWMAN PURKEY, age 61, of Jefferson City, TN went to her eternal home on March 31, 2023 at her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and friend. Sandra spent her life taking care of everyone in her life, always serving others and caring more for others than herself. She loved Christ and knew where she would live eternally. Preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe Bowman and Mae Geraldine Fowler Long; husband, Randy Purkey; and sister, Kathy Bowman. She is survived by her grandson, “Nana’s Boy, Zak Bowman, who was the light of her world; son, Derek Bowman; significant other, Tony Woods and his family, Jonathan and Taby Woods and their children, Hadlee and Whitlee; best friend, Lynn McClellan; and many other family and friends. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.
