Ruby Lee McCarter

Ruby Lee McCarter, age 88, of White Pine, TN passed away at Fort Sanders Regional Center on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 after a brief illness. She was a retired sewing machine operator from Shelby Williams. Ruby was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Sevierville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Minyard “Mack” McCarter; parents, Luther and Leota Walker; sisters, Margaret Henry, Hazel Riley and Mary Nell Haynes. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Jerry and Tressie McCarter; grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Arwood and Kelly and Michael Bolden; great-grandchildren, Dakota Arwood and Taylor Bolden; special caregiver and friend, Shirley McCarter; brothers, Charles and Jeannie Walker, Pete Walker and sister; Inez and Jerry Smith; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, 2014, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with the Rev. Terry Greene and Rev. George McCoy officiating. Graveside Interment will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014, 12:00 noon in Jarnigan Cemetery in Morristown. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00pm prior to the funeral service.
