In Loving Memory of Ruby Jean Loftin
April 16, 1946 – July 20, 2026
On July 20, 2026, Ruby went home to be with the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will continue to live on through all those who were blessed to know her.
Ruby was a loving mother, Nana, and Great Nana who cherished her family more than anything. She took special pride in being a great-grandmother, and her great-grandchildren were truly the light of her life.
Those who knew Ruby knew she had a little sass and a stubborn streak that made her who she was. She spoke her mind, stood her ground, and loved fiercely. Behind that strong personality was a woman with a heart full of love who always put her family first.
Ruby was born in Morristown, Tennessee, on April 16, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Nannie Crider; her brothers, Frank Crider, Jimmy Crider, David Crider, and Michael Crider; and her sister, Lillian Crider.
She leaves behind her daughter, Angela (Dean) Colton; her son, Mike Loftin (Donna Reed); her grandchildren, Dean (Meghan) Colton, Dylan (Kayla) Colton, Jenna (Wesley) Kilby, and Taylor (Kendrick) Trullinger; her great-grandchildren, Conner, Oakley, Addison, Dean III, and Malachite; her sister, Georgia Scoville; her brother, Donald (Mary) Crider; her special friend and companion, Darrell Hicks; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Ruby’s love, laughter, sass, and memories will stay with us forever. We find comfort knowing she is resting in the arms of the Lord and reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her legacy of love and the memories she created will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply.
Until we meet again, we love you.
