Ronald Stuart Jones

Rev. Ronald Stuart Jones, age 71, of Kodak, TN passed away on May 1, 2026. After a long illness, he was at peace in his faith, and he expressed his hope and readiness to be with the Lord.

Ron faithfully taught God’s word, serving as pastor at Dumplin Baptist Church in New Market, Tennessee; Glenview Baptist Church in Park Ridge, Illinois; Woodmar Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana; and Buffalo Trail Baptist Church in Morristown, Tennessee. He also served his country as a Chaplain in the United States Army Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, M.B. Jones and Eloise Jones. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanne; his beloved daughters, Lori Johnson (Jon Mac), Kara Jones, and Melanie Hawkins (Corey); and his cherished grandchildren, Carter, Amelia, Josilyn, Nancy Claire, Elliot, and Betsy.

Receiving of friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with the funeral to follow with Rev. Joey Marshall and Rev. Rickey Hardin officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 for a 11:00a.m. graveside service at Cate Cemetery.
