Ronald Patrick Conner, age 77, of Dandridge, TN, passed away and went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on March 20, 2026 surrounded by his family.
Ron was born on October 11, 1948, in Miami, Florida to Glenn & Glenda Conner. He shared a remarkable love story with his wife, Patricia Conner. The two began dating in high school and went on to build an amazing life together. Ron passed away 8 days before their 56 year wedding anniversary.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Melissa McAllester (Chris) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and his son, Richard Conner (Eliza) of Mountain View, California. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Kingston, Zayden, Zane, Zowie, and Evie, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Joseph Sheetz; his brother-in-law, Randall Sheetz; his brother, Alec (Tonya) Conner and sisters, Deb Johnson and Georgann (Ken) Boyer; sister-in-law, Diane Duncan and brother-in-law, Joe Sheetz Jr.
Ron was preceded in death by his son, Brian Patrick Conner; his parents, Glenn & Glenda Conner; his grandson, Kingston McAllester; and his brother, Glenn Conner.
Ron served his community with honor during his time in the U.S. Army and throughout his career in law enforcement. He proudly served in the police force for 30 years, retiring as a Captain with the Chattanooga Police Department.
Ron was a member of First Baptist Church of Dandridge. He volunteered with church security, VBS, and served in the Good News Club. He was always looking out for others.
Ron had many hobbies such as flying airplanes, feeding deer, stargazing, bird watching, and visiting the beach in Florida. He had a servant’s heart and loved to watch out for and take care of people and animals.
More than anything, Ron loved spending time with his family. He loved being a grandfather and teaching his grandchildren about God’s love, feeding the animals together, and making sure there was ice cream ready for them when they visited.
Ron will be remembered for his deep love for God, his family, his service to his community, and the kindness, giving spirit, and peace he shared with everyone around him.
