Robert Patrick (Bob) Zabka of Dandridge, TN, 91 entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2026. He was born in Chicago Illinois on December 22, 1934 to Frank and Mary Jeraldine Zabka. Bob was the devoted and loving husband of 53 years to his late wife, Kathryn (Rago) Zabka. He was a proud and patriotic veteran of the US Army and received his honorable discharge in 1962. Bob worked as an electrician by trade for over 40 years and was a member of IBEW Local 134. He was a 26 year member of Lions Club International, serving as President and in several other positions with the Worth IL Lions Club. Upon moving from the Chicago Area to Tennessee, he joined the Dandridge Lions Club. He was the recipient of the prestigious Melvin Jones award. He was a member of the Fr. Perez Chapter of the Knights of Columbus and held several offices within the organization. Bob enjoyed singing with the church choir at Our Lady of the Ridge Parish in Chicago Ridge, IL and had the privilege and honor to sing with the choir in front of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican during the 2000 Jubilee. He loved his family, friends, traveling, casinos, telling bad jokes and pretty nurses. He was always ready and willing to offer his assistance to anyone in need.
He is survived by his son, Robert A. (Jeanne) Zabka, and daughters, Kathianne (Michael) Ferguson and Laurie (Gary) Marlow. Proud Grandad to Dennis (Amber) Zabka, Daniel Zabka, Dustin Zabka, Jessica (Scott) Franklin, Shannon (Cole) Harty and Tom (Kathrine) McNulty. Loving Great Grandad of Rebecca and Hannah Franklin, Violet Zabka, Brooke and Benjamin Zabka and Zachary McNulty.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 16, 2026 at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery Alsip IL at 11:00 A.M. A prayer service will be conducted at the Chapel and a graveside burial immediately after. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Lions Volunteer Blind Industries in Bob’s name and mailed to Dandridge Lions Club Charities, P.O. Box 583, Dandridge TN 37725
