Robert Plummer "Sonny" Phibbons,

ROBERT PLUMMER "SONNY" PHIBBONS, JR., of Dandridge, TN and formerly of Mitchellville, Maryland, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long bsttle with Alzherimers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Elizabeth "Babe" Phibbons; father and mother, Robert P. Phibbons, Sr. and Ella Nora Phibbons; sisters, Thelma, Margaret, Helen, Virginia and Kathryn. Survived by his son and wife, Robert K. and Barbara Phibbons of Davidsonville, Maryland; daughter and husband, Gale and James R. Johnson of Dandridge; daughter, Jan E. Phibbons of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Glenn, Tara and Tyler Myers of Brentwood, TN, Robert K. Jr., Michelle, Lauren and Megan Phibbons of Davidsonville, Maryland, Richard, Lydia and Andrew Myers of Inverness, Florida, Stephanie, Stacy, Logan and Cory Clabough of Dandridge. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. from the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Rev. Joel Ammons officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 a.m.Tueaday at the funeral home to proceed to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
