Robert “Coach” Seals, age 76 of New Market, TN, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Erwin Health Care Center following an extended illness. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City. He was an avid fox hunter and a longtime teacher and coach for 40 years at Jefferson County Schools. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Corum Seals, brothers Ray Neal and Roger Seals. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Treva Seals, daughter, Robyn (Joe) Marsico of Oregon, son, Neal Seals of Sevierville, TN, grandchildren, Mary Beth Marsico, Mia Marsico, Natalie Seals, and Walker Seals. Graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at New Market Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Friends may call at their convenience from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Farrar Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
