Robert R. Herndon

Robert (Bob) Herndon, age 88, of White Pine went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2020 at Jefferson Park of Dandridge. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois (Lindsey) Herndon of Newport; brothers, John L Herndon and James Herndon and sisters, Jean Herndon Clevenger and Patricia Herndon. Bob is survived by his son, Reggie (Michele) Herndon and granddaughter, Laura Herndon of White Pine, and brother, Patrick Herndon of Salem, VA. He will be missed by family and friends. Bob owned a floor sanding business for over 55 years and was well known and respected in the Lakeway area for his craftsmanship and attention to detail from his many repeat clients. In addition, he spent many years refinishing basketball courts and painting mascots on gymnasium floors across TN. The family will hold a private graveside service on Friday, May 8 with the Rev. TJ Burdine officiating at White Pine Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to: White Pine Inter Church Council, PO Box 146, White Pine, TN 37890.
