Richard Preston "Rick" Adams, 69, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, love, and stories that will be told for generations. Born to Edward Adams and Margaret Johnston, Rick never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like an old friend. He was kind-hearted, quick with a joke, delightfully stubborn, and always ready to tease those he loved most. Whether he was sharing his opinion (whether you asked for it or not), reminiscing over his favorite westerns and classic television shows, or cruising around on his candy apple red scooter, Rick embraced life with a lighthearted spirit that was impossible to forget. He was the all-American dad—a hardworking, dependable, and devoted father who always put his family first. Strong, brave, and fearless, he stood up for what he believed was right and was the person you could count on no matter the circumstance.

Rick was truly a jack of all trades. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Throughout his life, he worked for Continental Airlines, as a furnace operator at Exedy, as a shuttle bus driver for Wilderness Resort, and as the owner of Adams Carpet Cleaning. If something was broken, Rick believed it could be fixed with enough determination—and probably a little duct tape. His resourcefulness, work ethic, and willingness to lend a hand made him someone family, friends, and neighbors could always depend on. He left every place a little better than he found it and every person with a story to tell.

Above all, Rick's greatest joy was his family. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Della Adams; his children, Ashley Adams, Dylan Adams, and Keith Adams; and his cherished grandchildren, Ethan Sequeira and Gianna Salgado. His love, guidance, and unwavering support leave behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of his family forever. He showed his love through hard work, steady presence, and playful teasing, always finding a way to make those around him smile.

Family gatherings were never complete without his laughter, his mischievous grin, and his unmistakable sense of humor. Though he will be deeply missed, Rick leaves behind countless memories, enduring wisdom, and the reminder that a life filled with kindness, laughter, and unconditional love is a life well lived.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:00pm, please come and share your memories of Rick as we celebrate his life.
