Paul Louis Bartnik, age 67, of Rutledge, TN passed away October 26, 2026. Paul was born in Harvey, IL and later in life moved with his family to Rutledge, TN. Through the past 15 years, he helped the Grainger County Humane Society with donations and treats. Above all, Paul loved the Lord, his wife and family, who meant the world to him. He found joy in listening to his music, caring for his beloved puppies and fish, driving his cars, bowling and fishing with family and friends. He loved to take care of his yard. He had a natural talent for creating, designing and finishing projects in the yard. Paul was the kind of man who could do anything no matter what challenges life put in front of him. He never gave up and always found a way to make it work. His passion, determination, and love for the things and people closest to him is a true reflection of who he was. Paul will be remembered for his many talents, his love for his family, and the lasting mark he left on the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite Alice Robitaille Bartnik Bowman and George Albert Bartnik; stepfather, Edward Bowman; and niece, Brooke Bartnik.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dianne Bartnik; sons, Paul William (Melody) Bartnik and Bryan Bartnik; 2 beautiful granddaughters, Clara Hope and Addison Faith Bartnik; brothers, George “Topper” Bartnik, Marc (Dottie) Bartnik, Thomas (Lisa) Bartnik, Joseph Bartnik; treasured friends, Mike Kargle and family; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grainger County Humane Society in Paul’s honor. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 1:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City with Rev.
