Myron Willis Speer

Myron Willis Speer, age 94 of Dandridge, passed away on the morning of Monday, December 2, 2024 at Charter Senior Living of Jefferson City.

He was born on a farm in Mallard, Iowa on February 1, 1930 to Willis & Blanche Speer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dandridge. Mr. Speer was a Conservation Officer for 34 years with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Gernie Svuba Speer; sons, Steven (Diane) Speer of Spanish Springs, Nevada & Rodney (Linda) Speer of Davenport, Iowa; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Charter Senior Living, specifically those serving in the Memory Care Unit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7PM Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Dandridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Kristen Burkhart officiating. The family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM, prior to the service.
