Michael David Bonville

Michael David Bonville, age 37, passed away on September 10, 2026. Originally from Hohenwald, Tennessee, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army. During his military career, he completed tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait and was stationed in Germany, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma. He retired from the Army as a Captain and later made his home in Dandridge, Tennessee, where he worked as a civil engineer.

Michael found joy in the simple things in life—fishing, hunting, and, most of all, spending time with his friends and the people he loved. He will be remembered by those who knew him for the friendships he built, the experiences he shared, and the memories he leaves behind.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Rene Bonville.

He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Bonville; his son, Finn Bonville; and his sisters, Denise Sellars (Joe), Melody Basinger (Bill), Lisa Price (Jonathan), Michelle Bonville, and Melissa Bohanan (Andrew), along with many nieces and nephews.

Michael’s life touched many people. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Heritage Fellowship Church with a time of fellowship and sharing to follow at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michael’s memory to the Rocky Top Veterans Foundation, an organization that supports veterans in our community.
