Mary Ruth Pollard Miller Wilson

MARY RUTH POLLARD MILLER WILSON, age 86, of Dandridge, TN, born April 11, 1924 to Robert Dean Pollard and Edith Mae Widner Pollard, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2010. She was saved at Green Hill Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 25 years. Retired from Fortenberry Sausage Company. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Robert J. Wilson; great-granddaughter, Sharina Dean Wolfe; brothers, Edd and Jack Pollard; sisters, Pauline Fortenberry and Edna Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Dean and husband, William Mowry; grandchildren, Penny Adcock, Billy R. and Suzane Gann, Shari and Brett Hurd, Candie Dalton, Veronica and James Alleshouse; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillian Pollard; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Lindsey and Rev. Jesse Buel officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
