LINORA RUBY NEWMAN, age 92 of Dandridge, TN passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born, April 26, 1931, in Sevier County, TN to the late Fred and Janella (Seaton) Newman. She was a member of the Swanns Chapel Baptist Church and was a former employee of Tennessee Handbags and enjoyed babysitting for the children of her friends. She loved being with children and pets and enjoyed working with her hands making quilts and was talented in making different kinds of crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and Ray Newman and sister, Alie Maples and is survived to cherish her memory are her sisters, Anna Lee Cantrell, Sue Franklin and Nancy Jones; brother; J.D. (Cathy) Newman; sister-in-law, Edith Newman: nieces, Crystal (Brent) Tallent, April Franklin, Kathy King, Pat Bradford, Faye Hall and Robin Adams; nephews, Rick and Terry Newman, Isa and Freddy Cantrell. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Fresenius, ETHRA drivers and Smoky Mountain Health and Hospice for their special care for Linora. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, 10:00am at Middle Creek Cemetery in Sevier Co. The family will receive friends, Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE, TN, 162 E. Meeting St. 865-397-2711
