LeRoy Russell

LeRoy Russell, age 90, of Huntsville, AL passed away February 5, 2022.

LeRoy was born June 9, 1931, to George and Stella Russell at the family home in New Market, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack Russell and Billy Russell, and close childhood friends, Bob and AJ Hoffner. LeRoy graduated in 1950 from Maury High School and was a Veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War. He retired from South Central Bell.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise Barlow Russell; children Robby Russell (Cyndi), Huntsville, AL, and daughter Debbie Russell O’Brien (Ian), Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Benjamin Russell, Caroline Russell and Emily Russell, Huntsville, AL; brother Oren Russell (Selma Rhea), Strawberry Plains, TN and sister, Mabel Jo Patterson (Virgil), Dandridge, TN; niece, Pam (Scott) Liedel , Sevierville, TN 

Per his wishes, a private burial was held.
