Leonard D
Campbell
Apr 16, 1942 — Oct 30, 2026
White Pine
Leonard Darrell Campbell, 84, of White Pine, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2026. Born on April 16, 1942, in Danese, West Virginia, Leonard grew up with the values of hard work, faith, and family that would guide him throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and went on to dedicate his professional career to the Department of Defense.
Leonard was a man of unwavering faith and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. His love for the Lord was evident not only in his words but also in the way he lived his life. He was actively involved in his church and never missed an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with family, friends, and anyone willing to listen. For Leonard, faith was not simply something he believed; it was something he lived each day.
Leonard never met a stranger. With a welcoming smile, a generous heart, and a remarkable ability to fix just about anything, he was truly a jack of all trades. Friends, neighbors, and family members often turned to him for a helping hand, a bit of wisdom, or guidance through life's challenges. He was always willing to share his knowledge, lend his time, and help someone in need.
For 58 years, Leonard shared his life with his beloved wife, Lana. Together, they built a marriage rooted in love, faith, and devotion to family. Through life's joys and challenges, their enduring commitment to one another was a testament to the promises they made and the life they built together. Their 58 years of marriage were a blessing, creating a legacy of love that will continue through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
During his life, Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports and loved trains. Yet, of all the things that brought him happiness, nothing compared to the joy he found in his family. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply spending time together, his greatest pleasure was being surrounded by those he loved.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lana; his son, Darrell, and daughter-in-law, Amber; his daughter, Tammy, and son-in-law, Fernando; and his son, Jeffrey, and daughter-in-law, Nicole. He was a proud Papaw to Lana (Patrick), Micaela (Nick), Brennan (Kayla), Connor (Alexa), Jackson, Sailor (Zaylan), Reve and Gage; and a cherished great-papaw to Cooper, Leia, Ali, and Caden. He is also survived by his siblings, Marshall, Nelda, and Paul.
Leonard leaves behind a legacy far greater than the work of his hands or the accomplishments of his lifetime. His legacy lives in the faith he shared, the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the countless acts of kindness he extended to others. While his family and friends will deeply miss his presence, his wisdom, and his familiar voice, they find comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Savior Leonard loved and faithfully served.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
