He was born in Morristown, TN on August 18, 1964 to Dr. and Mrs. Jack Clark (Carol Curlee) of Newport, TN. He was married to Judy Goodland on October 10, 1987. He called Newport, TN home for most of his life, until moving to Jefferson City, TN in 2019. He was a graduate of McCallie High School, Chattanooga, TN. Mr. Clark was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed golf, snow skiing, kayaking, fly fishing, and shooting sporting clays. He enjoyed teaching others the sports he loved. This was evidenced by his coaching the Cocke County Ski and Snowboard and High School Clay Buster teams for many years. He worked as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau in Newport, TN before purchasing an Allstate Office in Morristown, TN from which he retired in 2022. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Dandridge, TN.
