June Quinn Barding, age 92, passed away peacefully February 22, 2026 surrounded by family. She was born June 3, 1933, to Hubert and Tennessee Quinn, in Morristown, TN. This is where she met her husband Brice Barding and they were married December 17, 1955. Eventually they bought a farm and moved their family to Jefferson City, TN.
June spent many years working at Magnavox. She also loved serving in her church. June was well known for great cooking and could always be found serving others in the kitchen of Magna View Baptist Church. She loved spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens. Most of all, June loved being “Mamaw” to her grandchildren.
June is preceded in death by parents Hubert and Tennessee Quinn; her husband Brice Barding and her siblings: Roy Quinn, Demus Quinn, Clarence (Preacher) Quinn, Paul Quinn, Loyd (Blackie) Quinn, Boyd (Little Boy) Quinn and Mary Lynn Helton.
June is survived by children: Cindy (Michael) Parton, Linda Longmire and Danny (Karen) Barding; Grandchildren: Josh (Marideth) Longmire, Jessica (Brad) Tate, Jennifer (Justin) Duncan, Metina (Justin) Manning, Andrew (Courtney) Barding, Emily (Matthew) Boling and step-grandchildren: Joe (Siera) Courtney and Matthew (Catie) Courtney; great grandchildren: Brice, Ellie, Libby, Maggie, Blake, Will, Blakely, Aubrey, Riley, Jeb, Zeppelin, Josie and step great grandchildren: Ella, Ana, Brilynn, Lyza, and Beckett along with many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. George Miller officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
