Judy Greene

Judy Rainwater Greene, age 82 of New Market, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her loved ones on May 24, 2024 after a long battle with Cancer. Judy was one special lady who loved her family and had a huge heart. She loved to be outside around the pool or tending her gorgeous flower beds and enjoying all of God’s wonderful creation. She also enjoyed shopping with her daughter Melissa. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her so dearly. “Your footsteps can never be filled, nor your love ever forgotten”. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jim Greene Sr.; parents, Oscar S. Rainwater, and Nancy Carter Rainwater; Brothers, O.S. Rainwater, Dana Rainwater, and Billy Joe Rainwater; Sisters, Mary Helen McDaniel, Alma Hill, Jane Wittmer and Eloise Wallen; Her grandson Brian Greene; nephews, David Hill and Micheal Wittmer. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Mark) Smith; stepchildren, Linda (Chester) Cooper, Lise Felker, Rusty (Janice) Greene, and Rich (Lora) Dann; Her brother Thomas Rainwater; Her Grandchildren, Cory (Michelle) Smith, Tracy (Dan)Ellis, and Tammy Potter; grandpuppy Harper Grace; great grandchildren, Charles Smith, Calvin Smith, Jordan Ellis, and Lucas Ellis; her great granddaughter Saylor Rae Marsh. Special nephews Randy Wallen and Sandy Wallen. Friends may call on and visit the family at their home on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. At her request there is no service scheduled.
