She was saved at an early age at New Life Baptist Church and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in White Pine. She was preceded in death by husband, Leroy Rogers; parents, Dan and Mima Kate Helton Smith; and brother, Gerald Danny Smith. Survived by husband, J. C. Holt of the home; daughter, Pamela Rogers of Russellville; sons, Douglas Rogers of St. Clair, Stevie Rogers and daughter-in-law, Beth, of Surgoinsville, Jerry Keyser of Mooresburg, and Terry Keyser of Maryland; grandchildren, Brandon Justice, Karen Justice Cooper, Courtney and Tyler Rogers; great-grandchild, Malachi Cooper; sister, Margaret Wright of Rogersville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Farrar White Pine Chapel with Reverend Kester Bunch and Reverend Joe Senter officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to White Pine Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening prior to the service at the funeral home.
