Josephine (Joe) Brinkley

JOSEPHINE (JOE) BRINKLEY, age 92 years, of Jefferson City, TN passed away April 25, 2016 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by her loving husband, J. C. Brinkley; parents, Charlie and Grace Rines; and sister, Beverly Fronsman. Survived by son, Jim and wife Sandra of New Market, TN; daughter, Judy Coomer and husband John of Dalton, GA; brother, Charles and wife Dot of Virginia; sisters, Leona McGuire and Edna “Moe” Killian of Morristown. She also leaves behind three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, loving all of them. She was a life time member of Lebanon Baptist Church attending faithfully until her failing health. The family would like to thank the employees and residents of Darby House, who so lovingly shared their friendship with her. Thanks also to the medical staff of Jefferson Memorial Hospital for their loving care and the compassion and care of Dr. McNabney and Dr. Lansing. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. R. J. Seal and Rev. Charlie Brewer officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund Handicapped Project at Lebanon Baptist Church, 7925 Greenbriar Road, Talbott, TN 37877.
