Johnny Bruce Gann

Johnny Bruce Gann, 72, of Morristown, TN, formerly of Jefferson City passed away July 13, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of service, faith, and love.

Johnny was born August 21, 1953 to parents Benjamin Frank SR and Evelyn Parker Gann of Jefferson City. He was the youngest of 8 children. He served as a teacher and coach at Jefferson Middle School for over 30 years, and was known as a kind and compassionate man. The impact he made in the lives of his students could never be measured. Johnny loved sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds, and would talk Tennessee football with anyone interested. He also loved the Lord, and was a faithful servant until his dying breath.

Johnny is proceeded in death by his parents, and his siblings Junior, Wayne, Ralph, Betty, and Bill.

He is survived by his loving wife Becky, his daughter Jenni (Alan), stepdaughter Amber (Jack,) and stepson Tyler. He is also survived by his grandchildren Maggie, Tripp, Aiden, Lily, and Savannah who were the light of his life, and his brother Shorty (Brenda), sister Mary, and sister-in-law Imogene as well as several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, with the burial to follow at Mountain View Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations for the funeral expenses be made to Farrar Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Sherry Sellars and Rev. Tony Hayes officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Mountain View Cemetery.
