John Lloyd McCollum, age 100, of Morristown, TN and formerly Rutledge, TN died peacefully and entered heaven on June 28, 2024. He loved clock making, antiquing, and working with his hands. He was a genuine handyman. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of World War II. He was a longtime member of Oakland Baptist Church in Rutledge. Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie McCollum; son-in-law, Jerry Donabella. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Donabella; son, Robert Gass (Cynthia); grandchildren, Joy Besermin (Chris), Anita Foster (Rick), Bobby Gass (Kristi), Jason Gass (Kay); great-grandchildren, Daniel Besermin, Emma Besermin, Ethan Foster, Ashlyn Foster, Jonathan Gass, Christopher Gass, and Casey Gass. Military graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stacey Lawson and VFW # 5266 officiating.
