Joe Ralph Simpson

Joe Ralph Simpson, age 75, passed away peacefully, March 12, 2023 at his home in New Market, TN. He was a member of Jefferson City Christian Church and a Jefferson County Road commissioner. Joe was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson County High School and a 1969 graduate of Carson-Newman University. He also is a veteran of the United States Navy.  Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Ed” and Vesta Simpson; and wife, Judy Smith Simpson. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Beth) Simpson, and Scott Simpson; daughter, Kaci (Evan) Anderson; step-son, Chris (Jessica) Elliott; grandchildren, Kaleigh and Sydnie Simpson, Abigail and Wyatt Anderson, and Meredith and Caroline Elliott; brother, Charles Simpson; nephew, Parker (Janet) Simpson; great-nephews, Judd and Riggs Simpson; and other family members. The family will receive friends Friday, March 17, 2023 4:00-6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home of Jefferson City. A 1:00pm military graveside will be held March 18, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial gardens with Pastor Bob Emmert and VFW post #5266 officiating.
