Jo Ann Geraldine Thayer

Jo Ann Geraldine Thayer (Lingenfelter, Hawkins, Schwab) age 81 passed away November 27, 2025, born, June 12, 1944 in Oakland, CA to Raymond Thayer and Geraldine “Gerri” Klatt.

Jo Ann loved her family and would meet up with her siblings on their milestone birthdays.

Jo Ann moved around in her later years, following her brother Walt to Georgia in the 1990s, she then followed her job to Minnesota for a few years, moving back to her house in Georgia upon retirement. She then followed her daughter to Tennessee for 5 years before her passing.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her loving son Michael Allen Lingenfelter, and Brother Walter Thayer.

She leaves behind Brother William Thayer (Phyllis), and Sister Carrie Bell, Daughter, Michelle Smith (Mitch), Grand Children, Jessica Ponder, Tiffany Julian (Vince), Amy Hendrickson (Alec), Bradley Lingenfelter, Great Grandsons, Ryder, and Maverick Belote, and Liam and Oliver Hendrickson

A graveside service will be held in Castro Valley, CA at Lone Tree Cemetery to be near her son.
