Jimmy Edward Britt, age 63, of Dandridge passed away peacefully at home on Thursday January 8, 2026. By trade he was an electrician before retiring and moving to Dandridge, Tennessee. He lived his life through music playing guitar in local bands starting at a young age with a band called “Drowning Creek” at local festivals a favorite being the watermelon festival in Fair Bluff, North Carolina. He enjoyed attending concerts with his wife, a favorite being Blackberry Smoke, and enjoyed real country music. He was an avid local race car driver in North Carolina starting at Fayetteville Motor Speedway and Lakeview Speedway and was known as “Tater” in car #21 that he built from the ground up. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Lena Britt; parents, Gene Oliver and Bonnie Mae Britt; brother, Robert L. Britt. He is survived by children, Dawn Crane, Pamela Fillers, and Robbie Fillers; grandchildren, Summer (Dillion) McCoy, Cassidy Atkinson, Colton (Hanna) Atkinson; great grandchildren, Colt Atkinson, Kyler Atkinson and Charlie Atkinson; and extended family, Ray and Polly, Steve, Rodney and Crystal Manning and Matthew and Heather Hackney.
