Jean Hammer

JEAN HAMMER, age 93 of Dandridge, TN passed way Monday, October 19, 2026 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Hammer (died in a farming accident), parents, Grover Cleveland Henry and Mary Lou (Marshall) Henry. Jean graduated from Rush Strong High School in Strawberry Plains. She was a member of the Seahorns Chapel Methodist Church and played piano there during the 60’s and 70’s and was also a member of the 99er’s club, Martha Dandrige Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter # 438. She is survived by sons, Paul Hammer, Jimmy Hammer and Andy (Kim Renee) Hammer; grandchildren, Ben Hammer, Dan (Brittany) Hammer, Katelyn (Dylan) Brooks; great-grand children, Channing, Zeke, Emery, Brantley, Coulson, DeClan and Ellis.

Pallbears will be Eli, Cole, Bradley, Steven, Dylan and Steve.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 7:00pm at Farrar’s Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers Officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5:00 to 7:00 pm, prior to the service. Graveside interment committal services will be Thursday at 11:00am at Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
