Jane Evelyn Hudson

Jane Evelyn Hudson, age 80 of Jefferson City passed away February 4, 2023 after several years of declining health. Jane was born in Greeneville, TN on March 24, 1942. She was the second of six children and grew up on a farm in Jefferson City. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1960 then attended Nashville Business College on a basketball scholarship. She did further studies at MTSU. Our hearts are broken as we all mourn the loss of our beloved older sister, Jane. Sisters share a special bond and we will miss her very much. Jane loved cooking, canning, going on outings with family and friends, playing board games, celebrating birthdays and holidays, sports, and music. She was the terrific soprano voice of the sister’s trio with Judy and Mala. Jane was preceded in death by her parents John and Marge Hudson; brother, John Hudson Jr.; and daughter Libby Sullivan Austin. She is survived by daughters Delia Sullivan Cress and Amy Sullivan Cagle; son, Todd (Emmily) Sullivan; 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by her dear sisters Judy Hudson Warren of Centreville, VA, Mala Hudson (David) Skeen, Libby Hudson Gardner of Jefferson City, TN, Margie Keith Hudson (Les) Helton of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hudson and several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private ceremony at the home place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory can be made to First Presbyterian Church (721 Church Street Jefferson City, TN 37760) and Safe Space (636 Middle Creek Road #3 Sevierville, TN 37862).
