James Hugh Knight

James Hugh Knight, age 96 of Talbott, TN, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2025. He served his country for 4 years in the Army Calvary Division as a Korean War Veteran. He was a member of Roe Junction Baptist Church. He was saved at a young age. He loved farming, growing veggies, and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anna Sue Knight, daughter, Katherine Derringer, parents, Hugh and Bonnie Knight, and sister, Blanche Haag.

He is survived by his sons, Dale (Donna) Knight, Ronnie (Anita) Knight, Wayne Knight, Gary (Debbie) Knight, and Terry (John) Knight, son-in-law, Donnie Derringer, grandchildren, Chris (Sara) Knight, Dustin (Stacy) Knight, Andy (Kira) Derringer, Jennifer (Daniel) Bass, Brandon (Jessica) Knight, Emily (Jordan) Yates, Ashley (Roger) Ramsey, Noel (Dustin) Shultz, Kimberly (Cody) Woelke, and Dawn (Robbie) Helton, great-grandchildren, Luke Knight, Olivia Knight, Leeam Ramsey, Oaklee Ramsey, Lena Shultz, Layton Shultz, Lyndon Shultz, Jakob Woelke, Kye Woelke, Jaxon Woelke, Linkon Helton, Landree Helton, Ledger Helton, Hunter Bass, and Eli Derrigner, and brother, Ray Knight.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Fullinton officiating. Graveside service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with military honors given by VFW Post #5266.
