James Edward (Jimmy) Jones

James Edward (Jimmy) Jones, age 61 of Dandridge, TN passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Newport Medical Center following an extended illness. He attended Mt. Vale Church of God. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brent Jones and Dorothy Jarnigan, sisters, Linda Bruner and Flora Jones, brother, Zenis Jones, brother in laws, James Gass and Victor Wagner. He is survived by his former wife, Tammy Jones of Greeneville, TN, mother of his children, Betty Strange of Dandridge, TN, daughters, Brittney (Michael) Buckner of Dandridge, TN, Whitney Jones of Dandridge, TN, and Christian Smith of Greeneville, TN, 9 grandchildren, sisters, Barbara (Alan) Looney of New Market, TN, Deborah (Harry) Brock of New Market, TN, Sherry Wagner of Knoxville, TN, and Lois Gass of New Market, TN, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Mt. Vale Church of God with Pastor T.H. Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in New Market, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. The family would like to thank Newport Health and Rehab and Suncrest Home Health for the loving care and treatment given to James during his sickness.
