James (Joe) E. McCoig

James E. “Joe” McCoig, age 81, of White Pine, passed away at Jefferson County Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church and a retired Pipeline Contractor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose McCoig; wife Gerrie McCoig; and son, Tony McCoig. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Hair; brother, Bill McCoig; niece, Angie (Keith) Johnson; nephew, Scotty (Connie) McCoig; great nephews; Wayne (Laura) Johnson, ,Matthew (Maeh) Johnson and Russell McCoig; special friend and neighbor, Mike Wright. Funeral services for Joe will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015, 7:00pm at Leadvale Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Charles Robison officiating, Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Graveside Interment will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, 11:00am in White Pine Cemetery.
